A. CONNECTING FLIGHTS ON INTERNATIONAL JOURNEYS OF VIETJET

1. Rules for international connecting flights

• Only applicable for international connecting itineraries between flights operated by VietJet through Noi Bai (Hanoi), Danang and Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City) Airports.
• Only applicable for connecting flights with a maximum connecting time at the transfer airport within 24 hours, either on the same day or different days.
• In case passengers have 2 international flights (eg SYD to SGN and SGN to DEL) operated by Vietjet with 2 separate tickets and want to be through-checked to the final destination, they can purchase a "Connecting flight service" at "My Booking" on website www.vietjetair.com, or directly purchase this service at the airport by providing 2 separate tickets to the check-in staff.

2. Minimum Connecting Time – MCT

– MCT at Noi Bai, Da Nang and Tan Son Nhat Airports: 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

4. Remarks for passengers on international connecting flights

At the departure airport: 

• Passengers are requested to present valid travel documents as per the entry requirements of the transit point (if any) and the final destination.
• Passengers and baggage will be checked through to the final destination. Passengers receive all boarding passes and baggage tags of all flights at the check-in counter.

At the transit airport:

• Passengers are not required to undergo Immigration procedures. Passengers go to the departure area and wait for the next flight. In case that passengers want to go outside the transit airport, they must provide travel documents (a visa may also be required) as per the entry requirements of the transit country (Vietnam).

At the arrival point:

• Passengers need to go through Immigration Procedures, receive their checked baggage at the baggage conveyor belt.

5. Benefits of connecting flights for international journeys: 

• Baggage is checked through to the final destination, no pick-up baggage and re-check-in is required at the transit point. 
• For international connecting flights, no immigration procedure is required at the transit point, so there will be no visa requirements.

B. CONNECTING FLIGHTS BETWEEN INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC ROUTES

1. Rules for connecting journeys between international and domestic flights

• Only applicable for international connecting itineraries between flights operated by VietJet through Noi Bai (Hanoi), Danang and Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City) Airports.
• Only applicable for connecting flights with a maximum connecting time at the transfer airport within 24 hours, either on the same day or different days.

2. Minimum Connecting Time – MCT

– MCT at Noi Bai, Danang and Tan Son Nhat Airports: 180 minutes (3 hours).

 

3. Available connecting flights between international and domestic routes

4. Remarks for passengers on international and domestic connecting flights

* At the departure airport:

• Passengers must present: Valid travel documents per Vietnam’s entry and exit requirements.
• Passengers receive boarding pass and baggage tag of the flight to the transit point (Noi Bai/Tan Son Nhat/Da Nang).
• Passengers and their baggage will be given a transit tag for easy identification and service at the transfer airport.

* At the transfer airport

• Passengers collect their luggage at the baggage claim, clear the arrivals customs area, and proceed to the Transit Service Point in the arrival hall.
• Vietjet staff at the Transit Service Point will guide passengers to the domestic terminal for check-in and baggage drop-off for their domestic leg. 

* At the arrival point:

• Passengers collect their checked baggage (if any) from baggage claim.

• Only applicable for connecting flights with a maximum connecting time at the transfer airport within 24 hours, either on the same day or different days.

D. INTERNATIONAL CONNECTING FLIGHTS TO AND FROM PHU QUOC (VIETNAM)

 

1. Rules for international connecting flights to and from Phu Quoc

• Applies only to passengers with confirmed tickets on connecting flights operated by Vietjet, starting in international destinations to Phu Quoc (PQC), Vietnam, with transit via Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) or Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) or Da Nang International Airport.
• Passengers must hold a foreign passport.
• Passports must be valid for at least 6 months and have at least 2 blank pages.
• Not applicable for transfers with other airlines.

2. Benefits of international connecting flight service to and from Phu Quoc

Passengers are eligible for Vietnam’s visa exemption policy for foreign nationals traveling to Phu Quoc Island, allowing a stay of up to 30 days.

 

3. Minimum connecting time - MCT

Minimum Connecting Time at Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang Airports: A minimum of 180 minutes (3 hours), only applicable for same-day connecting flights.

 

4. Remarks for passengers on international connecting flights to Phu Quoc

 

4.1 Departing from international destinations

* At the departure airport:

• Passengers must present:
  • Valid travel documents per Vietnam’s entry and exit requirements.
  • Confirmed Vietjet tickets for a round trip from international destinations to Phu Quoc, transiting via Noi Bai/Tan Son Nhat/ Da Nang and return.
  • Passengers receive boarding pass and baggage tag of the flight to the transit point (Noi Bai/Tan Son Nhat/Da Nang).
  • Passengers and their baggage will be given a transit tag for easy identification and service at the transfer airport.

* At the transfer airport (Noi Bai/ Tan Son Nhat/ Da Nang)

• Vietjet staff will assist passengers on connecting flights to Phu Quoc as per the notification list from the departure airport, verifying tickets with local authorities for domestic flights from Noi Bai/Tan Son Nhat/ Da Nang to Phu Quoc.
• Passengers collect their luggage at the baggage claim, clear the arrivals customs area, and proceed to the Transit Service Point outside the arrival hall.
• Vietjet staff at the Transit Service Point will guide passengers to the domestic terminal for check-in and baggage drop-off for their domestic leg to Phu Quoc. Online check-in is recommended for faster service and better seat selection.

* At Phu Quoc Airport (PQC): Passengers collect their checked baggage (if any) from baggage claim.

 

4.2 Departing from Phu Quoc

* At the departure airport:

• Passengers must present:
  • Valid travel documents according to Vietnam's immigration regulations and domestic security.
  • Confirmed Vietjet tickets for travel from Phu Quoc to international destinations, transiting via Noi Bai/Tan Son Nhat/ Da Nang.
  • Passengers receive boarding pass and baggage tag of the flight to the transit point (Noi Bai/Tan Son Nhat/Da Nang).
  • Passengers and their baggage will be given a transit tag for easy identification and service at the transfer airport.

* At the domestic arrival terminal:

Passengers claim baggage and proceed to the Transit Service Point outside the arrival hall, where Vietjet staff will guide passengers to the international terminal for check-in and baggage drop-off for their international leg to India. Online check-in is recommended for efficiency and seat selection.
