Travelling with Pets

Pet In Cabin (PETC): pet transportation service in cabin is the service that allows passenger travelling with pets (dog, cat) in same flight and in passenger cabin. 

1. Flight route applied: 

Vietnam domestic flights

2. Class applied:

All classes, excluding Business class

3. Booking channels:

4. Booking time:

• 24 hours prior to scheduled time of departure: applied to all channel
• Within 24h to scheduled time of departure: applied to last minutes booking office and at airport.

5. Transportation conditions

• Applied to dogs and cats
• Pets age is at least 10 weeks old, pregnant pets are not allowed onto flights.
• Pets are in good health, not sick, fully vaccinated, nor have an unpleasant odor, and do not affect other passengers. For dogs, passengers are advised to wear a muzzle for them to avoid affecting others.
• Number of pets: maximum 03 pet cage/flight, 01 pet/ cage; 01 pet/ passenger.
• Maximum total weight of each cage (includes cage and pet weight): 7 kgs
• Pet cage size: 35cm (length) x 30cm (width) x 20cm (height). It must be compliance with conditions below:
  • Pet cage can be made from plastic, metal, rigid plastic, welded metal mesh, hard wood or plywood materials.
  • The inside design of pet cage is smooth, without burrs or sharp edges, cage walls are sturdy to ensure safety, avoiding injury to pets.
  • The cage must always be securely locked, its bottom side must be solid, and waterproof material. There must always have the linings under the cage, the linings have good absorbency.
  • If the cage has wheels, the wheels must be removed before flight or be collapsible. The cage must have a ventilation system and be airy.
  • The cage is located on the aircraft floor, in front of the passenger's seat. It is not allowed for locating on seat or cabin compartment.

6. Service charge: VND 4,000,000 / cage/ pet

The charges are excluded VAT

Other conditions:

• Business passenger is not applied. 
• Not apply for assigning emergency seats for passenger have PETC add on in ticket.
• Self- check-in service including Web, Mobile, Kiosk check-in is not applied
• Passengers are requested to bring deodorizing items for cleaning pet feces and urine in cabin.
• Pets must be kept in their cages during the flight. Cleaning must be done by passengers accompanying.
• Pets should be fed at least 4 to 6 hours before departure.
• Do not feed pets sedatives or any other drugs before departure
