In recent years, Vietnam has emerged as a “must-visit” destination for Indian tourists, especially during the Diwali holiday. Not only does it possess famous attractions such as Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc, but travel costs in Vietnam are also quite reasonable compared to other Asian countries.

Before booking a flight, travelers should carefully review Vietnam’s entry visa requirements. Currently, Indian citizens are required to obtain a visa when entering Vietnam for tourism or short-term business.
The steps and procedures for obtaining an e-Visa are extremely fast and simple for Indian travelers:
Step 1: Visit the official website: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn
Step 2: Fill in personal information, upload a portrait photo and passport scan.
Step 3: Pay a fee of approximately 25 USD for a Single-entry Visa using a credit card, international debit card such as Visa/Mastercard, or via PayPal.
Step 4: Receive and print the e-Visa: After the application is approved (usually within 72 hours), you will receive the e-Visa via the registered email address. Download, print, and bring it along when completing immigration procedures at one of the 28 airports or 5 approved seaports according to regulations.
Here are some important things you need to keep in mind when entering Vietnam:
Check the validity of your visa before flying.
Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining.
Print your e-Visa in advance to present at the check-in counter.
Travel tip: Even though Vietjet offers many direct flights, you can also choose to transit in Bangkok/Singapore to combine your trip with a visit to two of Southeast Asia’s most vibrant cities before landing in Vietnam. This is an exciting option for those who want “2 journeys in 1 flight”.

When booking flights from India, especially with Vietjet, travelers should be aware of checked baggage policies and international aviation regulations.
According to Vietjet’s flight policy, each passenger may bring up to 1 carry-on item with a total weight not exceeding 7kg.
Maximum dimensions: 56cm × 36cm × 23cm for the main item.
You may bring an additional small personal item such as a handbag or laptop bag, but the total combined weight must remain within 7kg.

Regarding checked baggage regulations, passengers may purchase checked baggage packages in advance via Vietjet’s website/app.
Each checked baggage item may weigh up to 32kg, and baggage size must not exceed 119cm × 119cm × 81cm.
If baggage exceeds 32kg or the maximum size, travelers may be required to pay additional fees or send it as cargo.
For service packages such as “SkyBoss” and “Deluxe,” checked baggage allowances are included. For example, in some countries: SkyBoss includes 30kg, Deluxe includes 20kg.
When packing baggage for a long-haul journey, travelers should keep in mind a few tips to ensure belongings arrive safely:
Place fragile items in the center of your suitcase, wrapped with clothing or cushioning.
Label baggage with your name and contact number.
Keep the checked baggage receipt when completing check-in procedures.
