AirlineRatings reaffirms Vietjet among the world's safest airlines in 2025

(Ho Chi Minh City, January 13, 2025) – Vietjet has once again been recognized as one of the world’s safest airlines for 2025 by AirlineRatings, the renowned airline safety and product rating website.

Vietjet, along with leading low-cost airlines in the world such as Ryanair, easyJet, and Frontier Airlines, has proudly ranked among the top 10 for many consecutive years. This achievement underscores the airline’s exceptional commitment to flight safety, ensuring peace of mind for both passengers and crew.

In its annual evaluation, AirlineRatings monitored 385 global airlines, considering factors such as incident records over the past two years, fleet age, results of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) country audits, and other safety measures.

AirlineRatings has also awarded Vietjet a seven-star safety rating, the highest available, recognizing the airline's consistent commitment to safety since 2018.

Vietjet currently operates modern and fuel-efficient Airbus fleet, with a technical reliability rate of 99.7%, ranking among the top operators in both the region and globally.

In 2024, the airline added ten new aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total to 115 aircraft, serving over 170 domestic and international routes. At the same time, Vietjet continues to invest heavily in training, maintenance, and engineering to uphold the highest safety standards. Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA), a training partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), ensures a steady supply of highly skilled aviation personnel. The airline is also expanding the recruitment of pilots and cabin crew to support its global flight network expansion strategy.
