Vietjet celebrates new Western Sydney route with 20% off fares for all Vietnam–Australia services

Sydney, August 10, 2026 – Vietjet has opened bookings for its new direct Ho Chi Minh City–Western Sydney service, with 20% off Deluxe, SkyBoss and Business fares to celebrate the airline’s new connection to Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) and give travellers even more ways to explore Australia.

From now to 11:00 p.m. on August 16, 2026 (GMT+7), travellers can save 20% on Deluxe, SkyBoss and Business fares (excluding taxes and fees) using promo code VJAUS20. The offer is available across Vietjet’s direct Australia network connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, for travel between September 7, 2026 and March 31, 2027 (*). Bookings can be made via Vietjet's website or the Vietjet Air mobile app.

Vietjet’s new Ho Chi Minh City–Western Sydney service is set to commence on January 9, 2027, making it one of the first airlines to provide international connectivity to Australia’s newest airport. Western Sydney is one of Australia’s most diverse and fastest-growing regions and is home to more than half of Greater Sydney’s Vietnamese community – over 70,000 people – with strong demand for visiting friends and relatives.

The new service will operate twice weekly with Vietjet’s modern wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft. Flights depart Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9:20 p.m., arriving at WSI at 10:00 a.m. the following day. Return services depart WSI on Wednesdays and Sundays at 12:05 p.m., arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 4:30 p.m. the same day (local times).

Travellers between Australia and Vietnam can elevate their journey with Vietjet Business, offering a premium airport and onboard experience with lounge access, a dedicated cabin, fully reclining flat-bed seating, freshly prepared hot meals, and a generous baggage allowance of up to 60kg plus one golf set. WSI is Australia’s first major international greenfield airport development in more than 50 years and a new 24-hour global gateway for Sydney. WSI is designed to eventually accommodate around 80 million passengers annually.
