Vietjet adds 82,000 seats to meet peak travel demand for Vietnam’s National Day holiday

(Vietjet, Ho Chi Minh City, August 11, 2026) – In preparation for Vietnam’s National Day holiday on September 2, Vietjet plans to add 82,000 seats, equivalent to 400 additional flights, across its domestic and international network. From August 26 to September 5, 2026, the airline is expected to operate more than 4,400 flights to meet increased demand for travel, holidays and visits to family and friends during the holiday.

The additional flights will primarily serve routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with major economic and tourism hubs and popular destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hue and Da Lat, offering passengers greater flexibility in choosing their preferred departure times and itineraries during the peak travel period.

With travel demand expected to rise significantly during the National Day holiday, particularly on routes connecting major cities with popular tourist destinations, Vietjet has proactively arranged its aircraft fleet and operational resources while deploying additional personnel at airports to ensure readiness for the peak travel days.
