Vietjet people look up to the North with love

Sympathizing with the difficulties and losses of the northern people in the typhoon and floodings, Vietjet people have joined hands to donate with the solidarity spirit.

On September 11, all Vietjet leaders and staff, both Vietnamese and foreigners have joined a donation event to support the people who are suffering damage due to the natural disasters.

The donation took place in an emotional atmosphere, where everyone sympathized with the pain and hardship that people in the affected areas have been going through.

Vietjet allows the employees to donate in two ways: in cash or scan the QR code to transfer via Vikki digital bank. Each contribution is a heartbeat of Vietjet people's hearts, conveying the desire of the people of the North to overcome difficulties.

On the first day, Vietjet has raised hundreds of millions of  dong, showing the sincere care from each member of the Vietjet family.

From now until the end of September 30, Vietjet will donate VND5,000 (approx. US$ 0.2) from each ticket, with a total expected amount of up to VND5 billion (approx. US$ 202,900), to help people’s lives return to normal post-disaster.

Vietjet has spent VND2 billion  to buy food, water, medicines and necessities in a timely manner to help people overcome damages.

In addition to the donation, Vietjet also decided to airlift relief goods from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to people in the affected areas free of charge from now until September 20, 2024. A Vietjet employee Nguyen Thi Hong Quyen said: "In the past few days, the media has been filled with traumatic images from the North that make me unable to sleep. It is sad to see our fellow men struggling to cope with the floods. I hope our contributions will partly alleviate the pain and bring comfort to our fellow citizens."
