Vietjet again named among the World’s safest airlines for 2026

Ho Chi Minh City, 13 January 2026 – Vietjet has once again been recognised by AirlineRatings, the world’s leading airline safety and product rating website, as one of the world’s safest airlines for 2026. The airline has also consistently maintained a 7/7 safety rating from AirlineRatings since 2018.

Vietjet continues to stand alongside leading global low-cost carriers such as EasyJet, Southwest and Ryanair in the top tier of safety rankings over many consecutive years, demonstrating its strong commitment and sustained performance in ensuring safe and reliable journeys for passengers.

AirlineRatings evaluates more than 320 airlines worldwide using a rigorous set of criteria, including incident data, fleet age, pilot training and international safety audits. This year, greater emphasis was also placed on turbulence prevention, along with other industry indicators.

Vietjet operates a modern, fuel-efficient fleet with a technical reliability rate of 99.72%, among the highest in the region. The airline holds IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate as well as ISAGO certification for ground operations safety. Vietjet actively participates in IATA safety enhancement programs and continues to invest long-term in training, maintenance and engineering, supporting the highest safety standards in both regional and global aviation.

Vietjet has added 22 aircraft within just one month, the largest fleet expansion in the airline’s history, further strengthening its modern, fuel-efficient fleet and enhancing operational efficiency.
