Vietjet Resumes Normal Operations After Typhoon Yagi

Vietjet's flights have resumed normal operations, ensuring safety and timely service to meet passengers' travel needs after Typhoon Yagi.

After Typhoon Yagi passed, airports in the affected areas such as Van Don (Quang Ninh), Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa), Noi Bai (Hanoi), and Cat Bi (Hai Phong) gradually reopened. Thanks to thorough preparation, Vietjet was able to immediately restore operations, deploy additional flights, and conduct safe takeoffs and landings, ensuring the public's travel needs were met as soon as the airports resumed accepting flights.

At Noi Bai specifically, just 20 minutes after the airport reopened, Vietjet welcomed its first international flight from Japan. By 2:00 (GMT+7) on September 8, the airline had received seven more international flights at the airport. Today, Vietjet is expected to operate 143 flights to and from Noi Bai Airport.

By noon on September 8, nearly 70 Vietjet flights had been operated to and from the four airports mentioned. All flights were conducted safely, effectively meeting passengers' needs. The airline's entire flight network has also resumed normal, safe, and punctual operations, with no impact on passengers' schedules.

Vietjet also advises passengers to regularly check for updates on their flights to proactively plan their arrival at the airport. Passengers can check information via the "My Booking" section on the website www.vietjetair.com, the Vietjet Air mobile app, or contact Vietjet at the airport for assistance if needed.

Typhoon Yagi, with its intense strength, significantly disrupted airline operations. Vietjet has closely coordinated with authorities to continuously assess and adjust flight schedules, ensuring maximum safety for passengers. Additionally, the airline has increased resources to continuously care for and serve passengers.

For flights directly impacted or delayed due to the typhoon, the airline sincerely asks for passengers' understanding and cooperation in this unavoidable situation. Vietjet extends the heartfelt thanks!
